Carly Duggan - Assistant Trainer
Carly Duggan has been riding and competing with horses since she was five years old. In her early years, she competed in the Academy division all over the country, successfully winning in the Equitation and Showmanship classes. Every year she competed, she received the Academy Highpoint award, which is only presented to competitors who have accumulated enough points throughout the year. As a juvenile, Carly transferred to A circuit and competed actively in the Equitation division. She would later be named the Saddle & Bridle Medallion winner with her horse Crystal Day, a prestigious honor in this industry. After her Equitation days, Carly worked in many different divisions throughout the years. Including, but not limited to, working with Standardbreds. Here she would win one of the most coveted and impressive honors, a world title, with her horse The African Queen in the youth roadster to bike class in Louisville, Kentucky. Carly has been an assistant trainer at Avalon for over 10 years. She has genuinely enjoyed training others to follow in her path and has helped her students make the journey, a reward all their own. |
